Do you trust me?

If Tate Bishop asked me that question right now, I would say yes. So, why am I still running from him? It’s simple really. I have a protective instinct. Keeping Tommy safe will always be my top priority. I might trust Tate, but I don’t trust his demons, and those aren’t the only ones to follow me to Charlotte, North Carolina. Fighting for a better normal means I have to fight my own battles. What better way to learn to fight than to work at a martial arts gym? It’s here I find a new family. They welcome both Tommy and myself without question. Because of them, I have learned to live in this new city as Piper O’Conner, an innocent and regular townie, and not Piper O’Conner, the one with an alcoholic mom and dangerous boyfriend. It is all going well until my past walks in on two strong legs and a smirk full of sin and confidence. It only takes one word to remind me of the past that I can’t forget and the danger tied to it.

Red. It’s a bright color. It’s made to stand out. It’s the color we bleed, and with Tate Bishop around, blood is sure to follow. I’m starting to wonder if Tate is saving me or if I am saving him.

The release of Cautious is here 😀 I absolutely loved writing this book and hope you enjoy it as well.

“What’s your vice, Red?”

Tate Bishop forced his way into my life unannounced and asked me that one simple question. I didn’t know anything about him, but everyone around me seemed to. One glance into his dark, devilish eyes tells me all I need to know. He’s trouble but not just any kind. His kind of trouble is a sweet temptation. I’ve tasted danger and planned to stay as far away from it as possible after committing a crime in self-defense. The only catch—trouble keeps showing up wherever I go, and the more I try it, the sweeter it tastes. I might not know everything there is to know about Tate, but there is one thing I’m almost certain of. We’re about to be added to each other’s list of sins.

We met at a court-ordered Anonymous United meeting for alcoholics, addicts, and outcasts. That means I’m not the only one with a secret to hide. Knowing that keeps me cautious.
